Mr Priyantha worked as a director in his father’s company, Chandradasa Electrical Company. Then with the initiation of Chandradasa Ref & Electricals under Chandradasa Electrical, Mr Priyantha commenced studying ref engineering industry in depth. After obtaining a diploma for ref engineering he went to India, Singapore and many other countries for training programmes which based on Daikin products.
After the demise of Mr Chandradasa who initiated the Chandradasa Electricals, Mr Priyantha began to lead the business following the footsteps of his father. With the expansion of the industry, Mr Priyantha witnessed the necessity to segregate the organization with a new subsidiary for air conditioning and refrigeration. Giving birth to that new concept Vivasa Lanka was established in 2002 under the guidance of Mr Priyantha. Within a shorter time span, Vivasa Lanka created a difference in the industry with the introduction of VRV and VRT technology developed by Daikin Japan after it obtained the Daikin dealership from Singapore.
